Chinomakwa Nani FC Kicks Off 2026 With a Thrilling 4-1 Victory!

The 2026 season is officially underway, and Chinomakwa Nani FC has started with a massive statement! Building on our proud history and the momentum from past campaigns, the girls took to the pitch today and delivered a commanding **4-1 victory** over BPPS.
If this opening match is any indicator of what’s to come, football fans in Bindura are in for an absolute treat this year.
Match Highlights & Goal Scorers
The chemistry on the field was undeniable, but the story of the day belongs to our new arrivals who wasted no time making their mark on the club.
Ruth Govhati (#66) – 2 Goals: Talk about a dream debut! Ruth stepped onto the pitch for her first game in Chinomakwa Nani colors and immediately showed her quality, finding the back of the net twice to keep BPPS on the back foot.
Courtney Samuneti (#27) – 1 Goal: Coming off the bench as a substitute, Courtney proved her impact instantly. Scoring on her debut, she showed fantastic energy and finishing to help seal the game.
Tanatswa Dzapasi (#98) – 1 Goal: A familiar face delivering familiar results. Tanatswa was clinical today, adding her name to the scoresheet and keeping the attacking pressure high.

A Complete Team Performance
While the goal scorers will grab the headlines, this was a top-to-bottom masterclass from the entire squad. The starting XI, from Esley Kachaka (#1) anchoring the defense to the relentless midfield work of players like Tino Senge (#4) and Nyasha (#9), set a brilliant pace.
The substitutions were perfectly timed, with the bench—including Moreblessing, Oprah (while Trish and Lesley came in seconds later the final whistle blow)—ready to step up and maintain the team's intensity through the final whistle.
Head Coach Anesu Godo has clearly put in the hours with the squad during the pre-season. The tactics were sharp, but more importantly, the team spirit was undeniable. Just look at the post-match squad photo! The bright orange kits, the wide smiles, and the shared pride of a hard-fought win perfectly capture the energy of this team.

Up Next:
We'll be looking to carry this 4-1 momentum into the next matchday. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the girls today.
Let’s keep the energy high. Up the Nani! ⚽🔥
