A Day of Waiting...

Chinomakwa Nani FC Awarded 3 Points After Opponent No-Show It was a day of mixed emotions at Hermann Gmeiner Primary School today. Our girls, as you can see from the picture, were warmed up, in high spirits, and fully prepared to battle it out on the pitch for our rescheduled Matchday 2 fixture. Unfortunately, the anticipated match against Batanai Queens did not happen. The day began with a show of good faith. The kickoff time was moved from the originally scheduled 9 AM to 11 AM. This change was mutually agreed upon to allow both clubs to field their junior boys' teams, who also had important league games this morning. We were looking forward to a great day of community football. However, as the 11 AM kickoff time came and went, there was no sign of our opponents. Our players waited patiently on the pitch, ready to compete. We began trying to contact the Batanai Queens coaching staff, but from 11 AM until midday, their phones were switched off. The match official was p...

IMPORTANT MATCHDAY 2 UPDATE: League Game Postponed, But We might still be Playing!

An important notice for all our loyal supporters. We have received official communication from the ZIFA Mashonaland Central league authorities that all Division 2A and 2B fixtures scheduled for this weekend have been postponed. This unfortunately means that our highly anticipated Matchday 2 game against Batanai Queens, set for tomorrow, will not take place as scheduled and will be moved to the following week. This postponement is due to a mandatory, league-wide Referee Refresher Course and fitness test being held this weekend. This decision is beyond our control and affects the entire league, not just our club. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause to our fans who were ready to cheer us on at the "Fortress of Dreams." But… the football doesn't stop! We know you were ready for a Saturday filled with action, and our girls are eager to play. So, we've been hard at work to make sure you still get your football fix! We a...

Chinomakwa Nani FC Secures Historic First Victory

Bindura, Zimbabwe – The air was electric at Hermann Gmeiner this past Saturday (7 June 2025) as Chinomakwa Nani FC, a team considered underdogs, etched their name into the club’s history books with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Gazza XI on Match Day 1. For a squad still finding its feet in the ZIFA Women's Mashonaland Central Division Two League (D2A), this wasn’t just a win—it was proof that belief, teamwork, and a little bit of grit can make dreams a reality.   A Goal to Remember The match’s lone goal came in the first half, courtesy of Tanatswa Dzapasi, the team’s relentless right midfielder. After a series of well-worked passes, Dzapasi found herself in the perfect spot to slot the ball home, sending the bench—and the handful of passionate fans in attendance—into pure delirium.   "I still can’t believe it," Dzapasi said after the match, grinning from ear to ear. "We’ve worked so hard for this moment. Hearing our supporters cheer… it’s something I’ll never forge...
